How this table is built

Each plan is read from the provider's own tariff or pricing page and recorded with that URL and the date. Where a provider does not publish a figure we show "—" rather than guess. The default sort is monthly fee, lowest first; free periods are shown as notes, not as £0. E-money accounts are listed alongside banks because businesses use them the same way, but they are marked - the protection is different. What each column actually charges for is explained in business bank account fees explained. Full methodology →

What it can't tell you

Whether you will be accepted, what overdraft you would be offered, or how good the service is. Eligibility rules, credit decisions and turnaround times are individual. Our guides cover what banks check when you apply, switching with the Current Account Switch Service, whether a sole trader needs a business account at all and paying and getting paid in foreign currency.

How we make money

Tide and Wise Business pay us a referral reward when a reader opens an account through our link. Those links are labelled "Referral link" where they appear, and the reward is a fixed amount per account - it does not depend on the plan you pick and it has no effect on where those providers sit in this table, which sorts by published figures like every other row. No other provider pays us, and every other link goes to the provider's own published tariff. Full disclosure →

Bank Solutions publishes information built from providers' published terms. It is not financial advice and does not take your circumstances into account. Fees change; the provider's current page is definitive. Corrections: editor@banksolutions.uk.
